So, How Does This Work?

_
1

Pay the $200 Application Fee

Contact Gloria to pay the application fee, which covers three evaluative 1-on-1 tutoring sessions with her, an experienced and effective tutor who personally scored in the top 1%. If the student is chosen for free tutoring at the end of the process, the $200 fee will be returned the week before their test.
2

Schedule the 3 Tutoring Sessions

The three evaluative 1-on-1 tutoring sessions will be like regular tutoring sessions. The purpose of these three sessions is for Gloria the tutor to assess the student’s capability, potential, and work ethic.
3

Be Notified

Within a week of the completed third tutoring session, you will be notified as to whether your student qualified for continued free SAT tutoring.
4

Receive Tutoring!

If chosen, the student will receive free SAT tutoring until their test in May or June 2019, and their $200 application fee will be returned the week before their test. If your student was not selected to receive free tutoring, you have the option of continuing paid tutoring sessions or enrolling in small group classes.

Frequently Asked Questions

If your student is chosen after the three initial tutoring sessions, then yes, they will receive their $200 application fee back the week before their test and free SAT tutoring until their test date in May or June 2019.
If your student is not selected to receive free tutoring, the $200 application fee is non-refundable and you have the option to continue paid 1-on-1 tutoring or enroll your student in one of Gloria’s Saturday small group classes. Prices for 1-on-1 tutoring and classes are in the Courses section of this website, which can be found at the top.
The $200 application fee covers the three evaluative 1-on-1 tutoring sessions. Considering that 1-on-1 sessions with Gloria are normally $70/hr, three sessions would cost $210, but with the $200 application fee, you receive a $10 discount and become eligible for a chance at free tutoring.
If the student is chosen for continued free tutoring, the $200 fee is refundable and will be returned the week before their test date. If the student is not chosen for free tutoring, the $200 fee is nonrefundable, but because the student received three discounted, high-quality, 1-on-1 tutoring sessions with that fee, you really have nothing to lose!
Actually, even students with a low initial SAT score have a fair chance at free tutoring! The tutor Gloria considers not just a student’s current abilities, but also their work ethic and potential when deciding whether a student qualifies for free tutoring.
